Addicted to wine ...

I've heard a lot about beauty ingredients, but when I heard about Le Vin, I had my doubts.

Combining organic essential oils with the extract of a Chardonnay grape seed is new to me.

I was immediately blewn away though, when I got the chance to try it out.

Their eye serum is amazing: it brightens the eye area, takes away puffiness and eliminates dark circles.
They also have a face cream and a face serum, containing the Vita-vino Actif ingredient. (prevents and protects against ageing )

It's not that cheap but ab-so-lu-te-ly worth it!

Wonderland on my mind ...

Told you about the Alice inspired products before: jewellery, dresses, ... and of course, one that cannot be left out: shoes!
Since Mr. Burton's movie is comming out soon, Nicolas Kirkwood brings us a truly, magical creation.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but these babies will just be on display in the Printemps windows, so keep your money in your wallet, buying is not even an option here.

Printemps will be giving passengers lots of Alice-eye candy throughout the whole of March.

Nothing beats Paris...

Paris Vogue that is.
Their February issue covers an A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. spread, to say the least.

Magic duo Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin take credit for all the sensational pictures in "Vogue-à-Porter".
They offer the readers a mix of studio shots and pictures on location, showing us one damn fine Moroccan scenery, starring no less than 11 models.
Lara Stone, Raquel Zimmerman, Freja Beha Erichsen, ... among others.

Art direction by Carine Roitfeld, Emmanuelle Alt and Camilla Nickerson

Think big...

Wow, who said statement jewellery was over?

Looking at Lanvin's S/S 2010 runway show, I noticed some very fine, shiny pieces.
Snakes, stones, chains,... all together makes a good match.

That shoot....

Before,we had the 3D-words popping out of sweaters, now we have the holes in the dresses.
Dutch designer duo Viktor & Rolf have never been affraid to do something 'different', and I really like them for that.

Now that there's a crisis going on, lots of designers have been playing it pretty 'safe'.
V & R do the exact opposite: they like to call it: credit crunch fashion.
We see  deconstructed tulle dresses with bulletholes, and huge sideparts 'sawn' away.

Dazed & Confused did a very nice covershoot with their creations for their February edition, starring Magdalena Frackowiak, with the appropriate title: " The Amsterdam Chainsaw Massacre ".
Shot by Josh Olins, styled by Katie Shillingford.

Amazing.

Enjoy.

Can't seem to get enough...

... of beauty Anja Rubik.

Seems like models nowadays don't have a problem anymore with showing some nudity. ( Take Lara Stone as one fine expample)
The thing with nudity is, it quickly becomes so cheap.

Ellen von Unwerth proves otherwise.
She managed to capture Anja's natural sexual confidence.

That confidence was allready very remarkable in a shoot she did for Man About Town and earlier for Vogue Paris in 2005.
Not many models who can actually pull that off.

Ellen shot Anja before (April 2009), in a very captivating editorial for Vogue Italia, called ""I spy".

I'm a sucker for rare scents....

...and this one is a winner!

Nowadays, everybody is creating some frangrance, and most of the time, their names can't be printed big enough on the bottle. I call it  'celebrity frangrance' and I don't like it. At all.

But this one does the exact opposite.
I love opposites.

I'm intrigued by the whole mystery around Martin Margiela
The man never showed his face to the public before, never does an interview.

After 20 years of designing, Margiela launches his very first scent, called 'Untitled'.
It's a very woody, herbal, green scent.
And the best thing of all, it's unisex.

Untitiled is available at Colette in Paris and will be sold in the US Martin Margiela Shops around March.

One to visit...

From time to time, I will let you know a little bit more about the shops I like and worth paying a visit to.

One that caught my eye was ' Maaike kleedt ', located in Ghent, Belgium.
I love the fact that Maaike sells eco-luxury goods.

Yes, you probably get it by now: true eco-lover at heart.
Not everything she sells is made of fairtrade-organic cotton, but most of her brands are and I love her for that.
She actually proves the fact that eco fashion can be very pretty.
It doesn't have to be a boring white shirt with some nature-loving text printed on it.

Some of the brands she sells are : House of Dagmar, Erica Laurell (hand-made crocheted swimwear, made with eco friendly yarns !  ) , Rules By Mary, Camilla Norrback, pants by Circle of Trust, Custommade, Fin, Sylvia Rielle, Why Red, ...

So if you are in Ghent, definately pay a visit to her cute shop.
You won't get dissapointed.

Karl's at it again....

Spring campaigns are popping up everywhere.

The new Fendi ad caught my eye.

Anja Rubik, into the wild, shot by Karl Lagerfeld.
As the creative director of Fendi, it's no surprise he wanted to shoot everything himself.

Like the fog, like the setting, truly love Anja.
She's been one of my favourites for long now.

Me loves V * V loves U ...

V's size issue is out!! Go get it.
For weeks, the previews have been going around the internet, and now it's finally there.

Every color, shape, size,...is photographed.

From Dirty Martini to Iris Strubegger.
From Lagerfeld to Terry Richardson.
They've all worked together and it's one fine issue.

Message Ambigu...

I've never paid much attention to the luxury brand before, but now that the house of Delvaux has appointed Veronique Branquinho as their new artistic director, I  couldn't be any happier.
Her style is pure and simple, yet so sophisticated, so feminine.

This fall, she presented three designs, who all look amazing by the way.
The designs for spring/summer 2010 will be created according to her own creative vision.

I love Message Ambigu a lot.
Comes in several colors, but I prefer the neutral tones.

True craftmanship.

They've done it again....

MAC Cosmetics is presenting yet another collection.
This time, they've teamed up with luxury brand Liberty of London, bringing you nothing but sweet sweet colors.
Talking 'bout another good collabo.

Eye shadows, lipstick, lip gloss, blush,...it's all there.
There are also two very nice limited-edition items: make-up bag & scarf.
I liked the Fafi collection, but this one is even better.

That's one fine piece of shoe ...

Got the remark few days ago, I never post something for the boys.
I thought they actually liked half-naked Lara Stone and all, but seems that's not enough.
So, guys, I'm sorry.

Did find some very nice things though.

What about Balenciaga's spring/summer 2010 sneakers?
Both Lanvin and Pierre Hardy have brought some fine luxury streetwear for men, but I personally like Balenciaga's view on sneakers the most.

Yes, us ladies, have been spoiled so much with Nicolas' (aka God) creations, but I think we have to give him credit for what his does in the men's department too.
Since his takeover in 1997, he has made the house of Balenciaga into one of the hottest, most wanted, most coveted labels right now.

Past season, we same some monotone colors.
This spring, Ghesquière brings color & mixture.
Several premium materials are used, all in one shoe.
Of course, prices will be higher than previous models.

I like all three.
These are just previews though, they will add more models.

Alexa...

The Alexa will hit Mulberry stores January 10th.
Named after style icon Alexa Chung, the bag is actually Bayswater's twin, but this one is more 'slouchy', nonchalant with buckles, straps,... * sigh *
Comes in different colours of course.
Love it in tan.

H&M * hearts* recycling ...

I love this one!
Seems like people are getting aware of environmental problems.

H&M will be launching '  The Garden Collection ' in March 2010.
The collection looks really nice.
All very floral, very '70s bohemian.

What's good about the collection is that every piece is designed using organic materials, recycled PET bottles or textile waste.
What's also good is that Natasha Poly is the face of the spring campaign.
Love her pictures. Love the cream dress.

camera, lights, action ...

The january edition of W magazine features one very fine editorial!
Run of Show consists of pieces from different designers all shown at the S/S shows in Paris, Milan, New York,...

Eleven pages, several models, one breathtaking shoot.
Everything starts very soft, all very light pink, neutral tones, romantic,...thanks to designers like Lanvin, Chloé, Chanel and switches over to a somewhat more 'darker' scene with creations from Rick Owens, Balanciaga, Proenza Schouler,...

The shoot is so simple, so pure yet so very amazing!

Best of the best...

As 2010 is just starting, of course, the lists are popping up. Best dressed, worst dressed, do's and dont's,... we all know them.

I'm not surpirised at all that 'darling-to-all-designers' miss Chloé Sevigny is landing a number one position on the best dressed one. To me, she always looks fabulous.
I love her style, I adore her hair.
Seriously, I would pay to get her hair. (and maybe her wardrobe too)

And the legs! Oh the legs!
Don't know much women of her age who can just walk around in teeny weeny skirts and not look ridiculous at all.
Au contraire, the woman looks divine.
As always.

First look....

The Chanel spring ads have been going around the net.
The campaign was shot in Argentina, by the master himself : Karl Lagerfeld.

One of my favs Freja Beha Erichsen stars in it, alongside Claudia Shiffer and -of course, no surprise here- Karl's personal favourite model Baptiste Giabiconi.
