It's a shoe thing...

I don't know about you, but I'm a sucker for heels.
I also think that you just can't own 'too much' shoes.

With that said, happy to announce, accessory designer Lara Bohinc will launch a collection of shoes.
She's even thinking of bags, belts and purses.
Oh happy, joy joy!

Expect some very art deco inspired heels.
Expect some very nice pricetags.

Absolutely Absolution...

Big fan of organic skin care.
Always have, always will.

Nowadays, the choice you have these days is soooooooooo expanded! Unbelievable, looks like a lot of people care.
Packages get nice designs, online shops are being made with a complete range of organic beauty brands, Vogues dedicates whole beauty pages on 'going green', ... makes me happy!

Why do I care about organic skin care?
Because I care about my skin, you only have one, you only get one, and you have to live with that one. Don't wanna rub some nasty stuff on my face.
Yeah, nasty!
I'm talking petrochemicals, artificial colouring & scents, parabens, formaldehyde,...

Products that have the eco-organic label are all free from that.
And yes, it does excist. You don't need all these dirty ingredients to have a good face cream.

One of my favourite beauty shops in the world, Magnolia Beauty Shop in Antwerp just launched some new brands. One of them is Absolution.
Completely fell in love with it, right away!

They don't have a million different products (which you DON'T need at all) : they have the basics, and that's all you actually need. When it's good, it's good!

The complete range is high in antioxidants, anti-radical and hydrating active principles.

It consists of an amazing cleansing water, a day cream and a night cream. They also have this little bottle called ' La Solution '. It's a  serum that you have to add to your day-and night cream. Just one drop is perfect.
You can choose from anti-ageing, controle (for the shiny-oily skin) and radiance.

Everything is Cartified Organic by Eco Cert.

Fabulous darling, abolutely fabulous....

Ooh Alice...

Seriously excited about Tim Burton's upcoming 'Alice in Wonderland '.
The trailer looks ab-so-lu-te-ly amazing. I cannot wait.

Looks like everybody's under the spell of the magical fairy tale.

Parisian store Printems asked several designers to create a dress for Alice. Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, Maison Martin Margiela, ... they all contributed to the project and made one-of-a kind dresses. Alice woud be so happy.
The pieces will hit the windows of Printemps in February.

Jewellery designer Tom Binns is designing not one, but two collections for Disney.
The Tom Binns for Walt Dinsey signature line will have six limited edition pieces, all inspired by the characters starring in the movie. ( Alice, White Rabbit, Red Queen, Mad Hatter, ...) Stores like Bergdorf and Barneys will sell the pieces.

The one shown here is the 'Broken Teacup necklace'. It will be launched in spring. Prices start at $ 1,000 (ouch)
Good news for people who don't want to spend that much, but do want an Alice inspired piece of jewellery.
Tom will also create pieces for Disney Couture.
This line consists of different bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings,... all based on Disney movies.

Bergdorf Goodman, always in for a sensational window caused another traffic-stopping scenery. It debuted on November 20th and ends on January 6th. The theme is called "Curiouser and Curiouser ", inspired by the works of Lewis Caroll. (Author of Alice in Wonderland).

*heart* Freja

I've always loved Freja Beha Erichsen.

Creative director Rebecca Smith launched a new bi-annual  hardcover 'Twin'.
Freja starred in the third chapter, " Stand and Deliver ", the shoot was done by Boo George.
With the publication, Smith wants to show another side of fashion and art.

Personally, I think Freja did one hell of a job with this one. Her look is so strong and enchanting at the same time.
Like always.

Hypnotic...

Is what I call the new scent from Prada. It was launched a while ago, and I never actually paid much notice to their frangrances. Untill somebody gave it to me to try and I have to say I kinda liked it!

This one is the latest addition in Prada's series of Amber based perfumes. I do like a strong perfume though. I've always been a huge fan of musk and amber. ( Kiehl's original musk scent is a must-have for musk lovers! )

l'Eau Ambrée does it right: it's a bit of a modern version of the traditonal amber , it still stays dry, woody and warm, but with the notes of citron and rose it doesn't feel so heavy.

I do like the campaign a lot, it was shot by Steven Meisel.

Baby, it's cold outside....

Follow my blog with bloglovin

And I love it!
It's december: There has to be snow and temperatures have to go below zero.

Freezing cold means fake fur...yes yes yes.

So many brands come out this winter with some nice pieces :

Zara and  H&M have different styles, from sleeveless little vests to longer coats, also Fred Flare and Topshop offer a wide range of the faux fur styles.
Kate Moss did a collection for Topshop, there we saw a lot of it!

When you're not a big fan of sporting a jacket, you can always opt for the accessories: ear muffs, stoles, mittens,... (Belgian label Essentiel has some coloured stoles/collars)

Get cosy.

Daddy, skip the pony... I want a 2.55.

For years, I've always been holding on to the same principle: "If you can't afford the real one, don't buy a fake."

Yes, the Chanel 2.55 has been on my mind for long. Maybe, I should stop thinking about a winning lottery ticket, and actually start saving money, it would probably go a lot faster.

Of course, the one I admire is pretty expensive, and prices keep on going higher and higher since everybody is longing for one.

It was Karl Lagerfeld who re-made the bag in 2005, exactly as Coco Chanel had made it, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 2.55. The name of the bag actually refers to the date, the first time it was released: February 1955.

It is known as the Reissue.

The lock is the original one, which is called the Mademoiselle Lock, as Coco never got married.
Lagerfeld introduced the very well known  'CC' lock to the Classic Flap Bag in the 80s.
So everything stayed the same, even the small compartment on the inside of the front flap, where Coco used to hide her love letters, when she was having an affair.

The bag comes in different fabrics, colours, sizes,...
I would love to have a black one , or a cream coloured 2.55.

Note to myself: start saving!

Zoe & Morgan

Don't we all love some jewellery?
Some love the bling, some love the gold, some opt for silver.

I don't have one brand I love the most, it has to catch my eye and my heart.
And boy, do I loooove Zoe & Morgan pieces!

Brother and sister Sibbald (their dad was also a jeweler) presented their namesake line at Paris Fashion week in 2005 with the 'we love jewels' collection.

Their handmade necklaces, bracelets, earrings, ... are the result of their travels all around the world.
You can choose from elephants, skulls, serpent motifs,  eagles, ...
It's vintage jewellery with a 'twist'. (silver & gold )

Items can be bought online at net-a-porter.

I buy mine in Antwerp, in one of my most favourite shops , Baby Beluga.
Natalie, the owner of this cute shop, sells clothes (See By Chloé, Ba&Sh, Mont St Michel,...) but she also sells the most adorable jewellry. She has a really good taste in picking them out.

If you're in Antwerp, don't forget to visit her shop.

Mmmmmagnificent...

I've been a fan...and now I'm even a bigger fan because there's a newer version of the Chloé eau de parfum.

Chloé eau de parfum intense.

Same beautiful vintage-looking bottle, but instead of the ivory ribbon, this one comes in dark grey.

The scent is built around roses, but includes also accords of pink pepper, sandalwood and tonka beans.

The Chloé fragrance is very seductive, playfull, sexy,...

KAWS X Kiehl's

Another mad collabo...

Brian Donnelly aka KAWS teamed up with skincare brand Kiehl's to make a limited edition bottle for one of their bestselling products  'Crème de corps'. (I've been amazed by this product from the very first time I used it...simply divine.)

The artist, who also produced vinyl toys in the late 90s, even created a special bottle cap, that was exclusively designed for Colette.
Best thing about this product, is that 100% of the profits are going to charities around the world.
They even did a feature with Harper's Bazaar Korea.

Nothing but love for Stone ...

Oh dear, she's done it again.

We've had Vogue Paris, Vogue Italy, Vogue Paris again, W, ...

Yep, where there's nudity, there's Lara Stone.
This time, one of my favourite models, poses for the February issue of Love magazine.

Don't know why she told the press, she has some issues with her curves, the woman should be proud.
Her rawness never gets boring at all.

The shoot was done by the duo Alas-Piggott.
The february issue is completely dedicated to fashion icons.

No doubt the magazine will be sold out in no time.

Baby, you're a wild thing...

Oooooh, I'm excited about the new collabo between Opening Ceremony and Keds.

I love my heels, but please... can't walk around in them all week.
So when you go for the flats, do it in style.

The pony hair shoe is available in cheetah, leopard and zebra print.
I can't decide which print I want but I do know I LOVE THEM ALL!

Very addictive...

Personally, I think you can't have enough scented candles in your house.
Yeah, I'm pretty addicted to them.

In the spirit of the holidays, Diptyque brings you some very nice ones, that will feel very familiar: fresh cut pines, roasted chestnuts, incense, myrrh,...oh yes, go crazy and buy them all.

I always order them from spacenk, one of the better online beauty shops.
I will post something about it later!
